Galil brings sharpshooter Yavzuri back
Hapoel Gilboa/Galil Elyon re-signed Dagan Yavzuri to a two-year deal after the sharpshooter left the club earlier this summer. After helping Galil win the Israeli League championship last season, Yavzuri (193, 25) signed for Hapoel Holon, but financial trouble there set the stage for him to make a switch back to Galil. Last season Yavzuri averaged 6.7 points per game on 43.2% three-point shooting, taking another step forward as he did previously when he jumped from the second division to Gilboa/Afula in the 2007-08 campaign. He was the MVP of the Israeli second division in 2007 when he played for Yokneam/Megiddo.
