In the basketball hotbed of Serbia, no team has dominated like Partizan from the capital city of Belgrade. The winner of six consecutive domestic crowns, what is most special about this storied club is how it has historically combined developing the best young players while winning basketball games. Partizan started collecting international fame with Korac Cup trophies, in 1978, 1979 and 1989 and a Euroleague semifinals appearance in 1988. In 1992, Partizan went to the next level. Partizan entered that season rebuilding with youth, but finished with a miraculous buzzer-beater by Sasha Djordjevic to win the club's first – and to date only – Euroleague title.

| At home, despite seeing its own talent exported to the best teams in the world, Partizan remained a steady power amid sharp competition, winning cups and titles at a steady clip. The club's European adventure continued with another Final Four appearance, in 1998. In recent years, Partizan has collected many more trophies, including every Serbia and Montenegro League title since the nation became independent. The club continues to win with largely homegrown talent, making its achievements even more noteworthy. While adding trophies to their already crowded trophy case, Partizan continues to develop talent like no one else. A young nucleus of talent that has grown together came to a head last season, as Partizan muscled its way to a clutch road win at eventual Euroleague champion Panathinaikos to advance to the Top 16. The side remained in the hunt for a spot in the Quarterfinal Playoffs until the very end also, losing to eventual champion CSKA Moscow in the final game of the Top 16. Partizan continued its strong play after that, topping FMP for its first ever Adriatic League crown. Then focus returned to the Serbian League, where it wrapped up matters by beating rival Crvena Zvezda 3-1 in the finals series. After a season blessed with so much success, the talent at Partizan is eager to follow up and even go farther as a new Euroleague season is among us.
