· Founded in 1977, Unicaja rose to prominence in the mid-1990s, coming within a shot of the Spanish League title in 1995. It made a name for itself in Europe by reachinch back-to-back Korac Cup finals in 2000 and 2001, losing to Limoges the first year, but topping Hemofarm Vrsac for its first continental crown the next year. Since then Unicaja has been a consistent performer at the highest levels in Europe.
· The club won its first Spanish-League title in 2006, its first King's Cup in 2005 and topped that with its first-ever appearance in the Euroleague Final Four last season, finishing third overall.
