KK Bosna and Benetton Basket Treviso played out the closest game of the tournament this morning as the Italians ran out 78-80 winners to finish the Euroleague Basketball Nike International Junior Classification Tournament Belgrade in 9th Place, with the Bosnians finishing 10th. As both teams leave Belgrade, they will leave satisfied with having played in a great game. The winners were led by Jaku Wojciejscowski who registered a double-double by scoring 20 points and grabbing 10 rebounds. The best player for Bosna today was Aldin Majstorovic who played all 40 minutes on his way to a double-double of his own - 28 points and 10 rebounds. It was the tam from Sarajevo who got ff to the brighter star, running their set offenses with patience, leading 25-19 after ten. Wojciejscowski started to impose himself with some strong play in transition, pulling up for jump shots and dribble penetrating inside to tie the teams up at the half at 39. Benetton's 2.23-meter center, Samuel Deguara, had 5 of 5 shooting on his way to 11 points by the interval. The third quarter saw both teams go back and forth, Genile hitting a running buzzer beater to bring Benetton within 4, 61-57 with ten minutes to play. As the game reached the end, both Bosna and Benetton had chances to win. The Bosnians split two free throws twice in a row in the last minute, and with no timeouts left for either team it was down to the players to decide the outcome. Benetton had good control of the ball, and Wojciejscowski's two free throws to put his team up 76-79 were capped by an offensive rebound with 5 seconds left as the buzzer sounded, 78-80 the final score. Final placings: Benetton Basket Treviso ninth, KK Bosna 10th.
