Benetton extends CJ Wallace
C.J. Wallace - Benetton TrevisoBenetton Treviso has reached a agreement with power forward CJ wallace to ink a new one-year deal for the upcoming 2009-10 season. Benetton keeps an option to keep Wallace for an extra season. Wallace (205, 26) averaged 9.5 points, 7.4 rebounds and 1.8 steals in 13 Eurocup games last season. He led the Eurocup in total rebounds (96) and tied for fourth place in total steals (23). Wallace helped Benetton to make it to the Eurocup Final Eight and the Italian League semifinals last season. He has also played for Capo d'Orlando in Italy and Eisbaeren Bremerhaven in Germany since finishing his four-year college career at Princeton University (NCAA). Wallace was the 2007-08 Italian League best rebounder with Capo D'Orlando and reached the 2006 German League semifinals with Bremenhaven. Benetton also announced that former team captain Matteo Soragna will not be back next season.
