Busy Le Mans adds Guillaume Yango at forward
Guillaume Yango (msb.fr)Le Mans finished a busy week of roster building with the signing of forward Guillaume Yango on Friday. Yango (203, 27) is the club’s fourth addition of the week, joining Thierry Rupert, Dee Spencer and Charles Lombahe-Kahudi. He comes from Greek side AS Trikalla, which he joined midway through last season and averaged 5.7 points and 4 rebounds in 17 minutes over 15 games. Before that he played for Solsonica Rieti, Bancatercas Teramo and Sardes de Sassari, all in Italy, after a college basketball career in the United States split between the College of Southern Idaho and Pacific University.

"I chose Le Mans because it has been one of the best French teams for years." Yango said. "Playing for the European Cup also played a role. This will be the first time in my career that I will have that opportunity and it counted in my decision. My first ambition is to jell with the team and find my place and my role in helping the team. After that, the rest will come. I hope that [coach] JD [Jackson] will help me progress on my shot and my dribbling to become a better player. We had a frank conversation on the phone. He spoke about his style of play with an aggressive defense and it looks I will play at both inside positions."
