BC Donetsk extends Saltovtsev

 BC Donetsk improved its frontcourt and got bench depth for its upcoming Turkish Airlines Euroleague Qualifying Rounds debut this season by extending veteran big man Oleg Saltovtsev for one more year on Saturday. Saltovtsev (2.02 meters, 33 years old) joined Donetsk last March, averaging 1.4 points and 1.2 rebounds in 20 games and helping the team to reach the Ukrainian League finals. Before that, Saltovtsev played for BC Kyiv for more than a decade. He helped Kyiv to win the Ukrainian League title in 2005 and reached five other finals from 2001 to 2008. Saltovtsev also helped Kyiv to reach the FIBA Eurocup finals in 2005 and the semifinals in 2006. He has also been a member of the Ukrainian national team.
