 Pepsi Caserta is the lone undefeated team in the Italian League after Scavolini Siviglia Pesaro upset Bennet Cantu on Sunday. Scavolini came from behind to win 66-71 led by Daniele Cavaliero with 17 points and 5 assists. Cantu was still within 2 with three minutes to go, but triples by Cavaliero and Jumaine Jones put the visitors in control. Vladimir Micov and Manuchar Markoishvili scored 12 apiece for Cantu, which is now tied for second place with EA7 Emporio Armani Milano, Montepaschi Siena, Sidigas Avellino and Cimberio Varese at 3-1. Caserta boasts a 3-0 record after beating Novipiu Casale Monferrato 67-52 as Kevin Fletcher scored 19. Milano routed Banco di Sardegna Sassari 60-88 after taking charge early with a 0-12 start. Malik Hairston scored 17 and Ioannis Bourousis 14 for the winning side. Montepaschi worked hard to down Angelico Biella 67-70. Bo McCalebb scored 7 in a late 0-13 run that led to the win. McCalebb finished with 19 points and Nikos Zisis and Rimas Kaukenas had 10 each for Siena. Aubrey Coleman carried Biella with 27 points. Italy’s lone Eurocup side, Benetton Treviso, enjoyed a bye week.
