Crvena Zvezda (Photo: kkcrvenazvezda.rs)The Serbian League finals will feature the heated Belgrade derby between Partizan mt:s and Crvena Zvezda Diva after the latter bested Radnicki KG 71-76 in the third and deciding game of their semifinal series. Omar Thomas dominated with 19 points and 14 rebounds and Petar Popovic and Branko Lazic netted 14 apiece for the winners. Zvezda outrebounded Radnicki 31-40. It looked promising for the hosts when they led 37-29 at halftime, but Zvezda held Radnicki scoreless for the first five minutes of the third quarter while reeling off 16 unanswered points – 6 by Popovic – to take control. Radnicki stayed close, tied it at 60-60 on a Steven Markovic three midway through the fourth quarter and was within 69-70 after a Miljan Pavkovic three-point play with a little more than a minute to go. However Sava Lesic and Popovic came through with clutch free throws to help ice the win and the series. Boris Bakic paced Radnicki with 15 points and Markovic added 13 in defeat.
