LIETUVOS RYTAS adds Ivanov

 Just as always, Lietuvos Rytas started to work early to get ready for the upcoming season - in which the team returns to the Turkish Airlines Euroleague - by inking power forward Dejan Ivanov to a one-year deal. L. Rytas keeps an option to extend his contract until the end of the 2013-14 season. Ivanov (2.05 meters, 26 years old) arrives from Fabi Shoes Montegranaro, where he averaged 13.1 points, 8.2 boards and 1.3 steals in 32 Italian League games last season, ranking third in rebounds and fifth in performance index ranking (18.2 per game). Ivanov has also played for Zadar and Split in Croatia, Drac Inca Mallorca and Caja San Fernando in Spain, Avtodor Saratov in Russia and Cherno More, Dunav Russe and Arsenal Kazanlak in his native Bulgaria. His twin brother Kaloyan also plays professional basketball and reached the Eurocup Finals with Cajasol in 2011. Just as his twin, Ivanov is a regular member of the Bulgarian national team. He is set to make his Euroleague debut with L. Rytas next season.
