With each of their teams needing something special to finish the Top 16, a pair of players rose to the occasion as co-MVPs of the week, Henry Domercant of Efes Pilsen and Maceo Baston of Maccabi Elite Tel Aviv. Both racked up index ratings of 29 when their teams needed them most. Domercant pushed Efes into the Quarterfinal Playoffs from Group F with 23 points and 5 rebounds in a do-or-die road victory against Cibona. Baston helped Maccabi claim first place in Group E with 25 points and 7 rebounds a blowout away win against Ulker. Next among the top performances of the week was another pair of big men who put finishing touches on their fine Euroleague seasons, Matt Nielsen of Lietuvos Rytas and Daniel Santiago of Unicaja, with index ratings of 27 each. And one more player whose team needed his performance to survive, Vassilis Spanoulis of Panathinaikos, had a 26 rating for the week's fifth-best performance. As for individual statistics leaders at the end of the Top 16, Scoonie Penn of Cibona finished with the best average index ranking, 25.16, and also as the highest scorer of the round, with 22.7 points per game. Mike Batiste of Panathinaikos was the best rebounder with 10.8 boards on average. Pablo Prigioni of Tau Ceramica dealt the most assists, 6.3 per night, while Vidas Ginevicius of Zalgiris led in steals, 2.5 on average, and Robertas Javtokas of Lietuvos Rytas in blocks, 2.7 on average.
