EB Regular SeasonThe 2006-07 regular season produced more highlights every week as a new generation of stars hit the courts and shook things up. While traditional powers Tau Ceramica, Panathinaikos and reigning champion CSKA Moscow won their respective groups, newcomers Dynamo Moscow, led by center Lazaros Papadopoulos, and DKV Joventut, featuring rising stars Rudy Fernandez and Ricky Rubio, also produced plenty of excitement in reaching the Top 16 for the first time. The 14-game regular season went to the wire for many teams, with the last six tickets to the Top 16 not being settled until the final games were played. Several excellent team feats earned their way into the record books with respective highs and lows for period scoring set. MORE

REGULAR SEASON GAME 1
A trio of newcomers to the Euroleague notched victories in their season debuts. Aris beat Fenerbahce for its first win in Europe's top competition since 1992. Dynamo Moscow survived a scare from RheinEnergie Cologne in a showdown of complete newcomers. And Le Mans beat Climamio Bologna. Maccabi needed overtime to edge Unicaja in a thriller. And two-time MVP Dejan Bodiroga made his Euroleague return with Lottomatica Roma. MORE | MVP

REGULAR SEASON GAME 2
Partizan hit 13 of 21 three-pointers to knock off Maccabi for the first time since 1988 as Predrag Drobnjak had 23 points and 5 triples. DKV Joventut grabbed a 66-68 win at Unicaja thanks to Rudy Fernandez's alley-oop buzzer-beater. Pau-Orthez came back to edge Fenerbahce with Michael Wright scoring 22 points. And Henry Domercant hit for 28 points as Olympiacos won at Bologna. MORE | MVP

REGULAR SEASON GAME 3
Pau-Orthez won its second straight game, knocking off defending champion CSKA Moscow at home. Valerio Spanelli's free throws with 4.9 seconds left gave Eldo Napoli its first-ever Euroleague win. Le Mans limited Efes Pilsen to a record 3 points in the third quarter in a road win. Unicaja dropped to 0-3 after another overtime loss. Juan Carlos Navarro poured in 31 points as Barcelona beat Zalgiris. MORE | MVP

REGULAR SEASON GAME 4
Kosta Perovic had 23 points, 9 rebounds, 4 steals and 4 blocks in Partizan's double-overtime win against Cibona. Panathinaikos remained undefeated by knocking off visiting Lottomatica and old friend Dejan Bodiroga. Olympiacos moved to 4-0 with a win at Le Mans. Cologne collected its first Euroleague victory at Climamio. Maccabi held Joventut to a record 5 first-quarter points on its way to another victory. MORE | MVP

REGULAR SEASON GAME 5
Efes Pilsen drilled 11 triples in scoring a Euroleague record 39 points in the fourth quarter to hand Olympiacos its first loss. Tau Ceramica won its 20th consecutive Euroleague game at home. Partizan snapped its 22-game road losing streak dating back to November 2003 by beating Union Olimpija. Cologne won its second straight. Panathinaikos and Barcelona remained undefeated. MORE | MVP

REGULAR SEASON GAME 6
Panathinaikos beat Partizan to remain the only undefeated team after CSKA Moscow rolled past Barcelona. Bologna pulled off a major upset with a late 1-16 run to beat Efes Pilsen 74-76. Maccabi's Nikola Vujcic had 27 points, 10 rebounds and 10 assists for just the second triple-double in Euroleague history - and his second. Fenerbahce's Mirsad Turkcan grabbed 21 rebounds for the third time - two shy of his Euroleague record. MORE | MVP

REGULAR SEASON GAME 7
At the halfway point of the regular season, Olympiacos and Tau both won on the road to set up a clash for first place in Group A. Panathinaikos remained the lone undefeated team with a 90-88 win over Maccabi as Simas Jasaitas's game-tying basket was ruled after the final buzzer. Brent Wright posted 17 points, 13 rebounds and 4 steals in Cibona's win over Roma. Michael Wright had 30 points in Pau's double-overtime win over Zalgiris. MORE | MVP

REGULAR SEASON GAME 8
Tau Ceramica beat Olympiacos 89-74 in a statement win behind 24 points from Serkan Erdogan and 23 from Igor Rakocevic. Panathinaikos knocked off Joventut to move to 8-0 in Group B. Cibona lost 92-88 in overtime to Olimpija, but Davor Kus matched a Euroleague record by going 17-for-17 from the free-throw line, tying Andrija Zizic for the most free throws made and the best percentage in a game. In the final Euroleague week of 2006, the first two teams booked spots in the Top 16 - undefeated Panathinaikos and reigning champion CSKA Moscow. Joventut thrashed Unicaja 105-52 for the third-largest margin of victory in Euroleague history. Efes Pilsen beat Cologne thanks to Marcus Haislip's 33 points and 10 rebounds. Marco Mordente's free throw with 1.7 seconds left gave Benetton a 68-67 win over Barcelona. MORE | MVP

The 2007 Euroleague calendar tipped off with three teams securing their spots in the Top 16. Tau Ceramica and Barcelona won at home to advance, while Olympiacos grabbed a road win to join Panathinaikos - still undefeated - and CSKA Moscow in the next round. David Hawkins’s 23 points lifted Lottomatica Roma to an 88-81 overtime win over Maccabi, despite 33 points, 8 rebounds and 7 assists from Nikola Vujcic. MORE | MVP

Panathinaikos remained undefeated to become the first team to clinch first place in its group. Dynamo Moscow and Joventut booked their spots in the Top 16. Tau Ceramica won at Efes Pilsen to extend its club-record Euroleague winning streak to 10 games. CSKA Moscow notched its eighth straight win as head coach Ettore Messina beat his former club Benetton Treviso 60-68. MORE | MVP

Panathinaikos dropped its first game of the season, losing to Unicaja. Tau Ceramica also had a long winning streak snapped at Climamio as James Thomas had 16 points and 19 rebounds. Efes Pilsen advanced to the Top 16 by extending its winning streak over Olympiacos to five years and eight games. Maccabi Tel Aviv also moved to the Top 16, while Partizan notched its biggest Euroleague victory ever - 106-60 over Union Olimpija. MORE | MVP

REGULAR SEASON GAME 13
Partizan sent Panathinaikos reeling to its second straight loss after opening the season 11-0. Terrell Lyday poured in a career-high 31 points as Benetton Treviso booked a Top 16 spot with a home win over Pau-Orthez. Tau Ceramica's victory over Prokom guaranteed itself a first-level seeding in the Top 16. Tyrone Ellis scored 29 points as Napoli remained alive for the Top 16. REGULAR SEASON GAME 14
The last six spots in the Top 16 were decided. Michael Wright scored 13 of his 24 points in the fourth quarter in Pau-Orthez's win over Zalgiris to advance. Also moving on were Aris, Unicaja, Lottomatica Roma, Partizan and Prokom Trefl Sopot. Climamio actually beat Prokom but its victory wasn't enough to outpace Prokom for Group A's last ticket.
