PHASE PAGES, Quarterfinal Playoffs 2007-08
EB PlayoffsThe 2007-08 Quarterfinal Playoffs were among the most exciting in years as three of the series went the full distance. The eight teams involved featured five former champions, including three that had already won this decade and each series had at least two players that would go on the become All-Euroleague selections at the end of the season. Montepaschi Siena swept Fenerbahce Ulker, but Maccabi Elite, CSKA Moscow and Tau Ceramica all needed an extra game to secure their places at the Final Four in Madrid. The final results proved just how important home-court advantage is at this stage of the season: The home teams went 8-3 combined in the three series and 3-0 in the third-and-deciding games.
