Avellino strengthened its backcourt ahead of the club's Euroleague debut season by inking shooting ace Drake Diener to a one-year deal. Diener arrives from Montepaschi Siena, which he helped to win the Italian League title and reach the Euroleague Final Four last season. He has also played for Pierrel Capo d'Orlando and Ignis Castelletto Ticino in Italy.

Lottomatica Roma unveiled swingman Luigi Datome as its newest signing on Saturday. Datome, who arrives from Legea Scafati, inked a two-year deal. He grew up with Montepaschi Siena, making his Euroleague debut at the age of 16 in the 2004-05 season opener. Datome's signing gives head coach Jasmin Repesa 12 senior players under contract for the coming season.
