| A new era had started in Portuguese basketball, as the federation will now organize the league. As many as 12 teams will face each other in the first phase, in which each team will face and home and away basis, as well as going against each second division team once to complete a 34-game regular season. Quarterfinals, semifinals and finals will follow to see if Ovarense Aerosoles is able to win a fourth consecutive Portuguese League title. John Waller, Greg Stempin, Rui Mota, Nuno Manarte and Jamal Basit will try to keep adding to Ovarense's dynasty. Porto Ferpinta should be its main opponent with Christian Burns, Joao Figueiredo and Kevin Martin as its main weapons. Benfica is back with Diogo Carreira and Sergio Ramos, while Vagos Lusavouga Dewalt offers Wesley Green and Dan Coleman. CAB Madeira, Belenenses Hyundai Lusifor and Lusitania Angra Patrimonio Mundial will fight to reach high in his brand new Proliga. |
