CSKA excelled in defense throughout the entire game and soon made it a 30-point game, 27-57, to seal the outcome late in the third quarter. MORE

The Russian League gets better and better every year and this season is not an exception, since most of the top contender invested in marquee signings to challenge CSKA Moscow for the title. The reigning Euroleague champion has lifted five consecutive Russian League trophies and stays as the team to beat with Zoran Planinic, J.R. Holden, Terence Morris, Trajan Langdon, Ramunas Siskauskas, Matjaz Smodis or Erazem Lorbek. Khimki reached the title series last season and improved its roster with Carlos Delfino, Milt Palacio, Jerome Moiso or Jorge Garbajosa while keeping Kelly McCarty, Maciej Lampe or Anton Ponkrashov. Dynamo Moscow landed Arriel McDonald, Hollis Price, Bostjan Nachbar, Jannero Pargo and Darjus Lavrinovic to put together an impressing roster that also has Travis Hansen, Robertas Javtokas or Sergey Bykov. Unics Kazan signed Vladimir Veremeenko, Marko Popovic, Marc Jackson or Terrell Lyday to play with Tariq Kirksay or Sergeu Chikalkin. Triumph Lyubertsy may be a surprise team this season with Nenad Krstic, Marcus Goree, J.R. Bremer, Alan Anderson or Kerem Tunceri. Ural Great got Ralph Biggs or Christian Dalmau while Lokomotiv Rostov improved with Pero Antic, DeJuan Collins or Fred House. In other words, sit and back and enjoy because the Russian League is a must-see competition this season!
