Yogev Ohayon was named Final Four MVP after pacing the Maccabi attack with 10 points and 10 assists. Ashdod kept it close longer than most people expected, but ran out of steam. Josh Carter pulled Ashdod within 59-53 late in the third quarter only to see Maccabi reel off 13 unanswered points to erase any doubts. Ohayon sparked the blitz with a basket and 3 assists and Ashdod never threatened again. Maccabi was a lethal 15 for 24 from downtown (62.5%) compared to a paltry 3 for 23 by Ashdod (13%). Keith Langford and Devin Smith scored 16 points apiece for the winners and David Blu added 14. Alex Tyus paced Ashdod with 16 points and 9 rebounds and Carter added 14 in defeat.

Richard Hendrix - Maccabi ElectraMaccabi Electra Tel Aviv downed second-ranked Galil Gilboa 91-77 to increasing its lead atop the Israeli League table over the weekend. Maccabi now has a 19-2 record, while Gilboa fell to 14-8, allowing Maccabi Rishon to take over second place by winning 76-82 on the road against Hapoel Jerusalem. Yogev Ohayon led Maccabi Electra to victory by scoring 18 points and dishing 8 assists. Richard Hendrix added 17 points with 12 rebounds, Devin Smith drilled 17 more, Lior Elyahu and David Blu 13 apiece. A 27-18 third quarter put Maccabi ahead with a double-digit margin, 65-55, icing the game. Joseph Jones contributed with 14 points for the losers. Maccabi Rishon ambushed Hapoel Jerusalem away 76-82 to seize second place in the table after leading 35-43 at halftime and 55-70 at the end of the third quarter. Hapoel tried a furious comeback but never took the head. Adrian Uter nailed 24 points for the winners and Eyal Shulman added 22, while DJ Strawberry led Hapoel with 15 and Ranel Bradley and Brian Randle drained 14 each. Maccabi Haifa took a slim 72-75 road win over Elitzur Netanya as Sylven Landesberg had 18 points and Tyler Wilkerson 17. Hapoel Holon took a 75-85 success on Ironai Ashkelon court, behind 23 points from Ron Lewis and 18 apiece from Tasmin Mitchell and Bryant Dunston. Marco Killingsworth had 23 with 10 rebounds for Ironi. Bnei Hasharon completed the great night of the traveling teams, beating 75-85 BC Habikaa led by 26 points and 7 assists of Tweety Carter, while Kenny Lawson also scored 19 for the winners.
