What is the Marketing Summit?
The Marketing Summit is an anual event organized every year by Euroleague Basketball with the aim of getting all basketball Marketing Managers in Europe together for interactive sessions in which the main topics in the field are discussed and where professional Clubs, Leagues and Sponsors share their ideas and concerns. The topics are discussed through several sessions where first level speakers and panelists present and discuss about the best practices in the sports fieldm followed by table networking discussions in which all attendees participate.

CHRISTIAN KAREMBEU

Ex Football player (Nantes, Sampdoria, Real Madrid, Middlesbrough, Olympiacos, Servette, Bastia, an France National Team)


Born 3 December 1970 in (Lifou, New Caledonia) is a retired French international footballer and current scout for Arsenal Football Club. He is also part of a Paris-based consortium to expand the A-League with a Pacific Island team.
During his career Karembeu played for Nantes (1990–95), Sampdoria (1995–97), Real Madrid (1997–2000), Middlesbrough (2000–01), Olympiakos (2001–04), Servette Genève (2004–05), Bastia (2005-06).

Career Highlights:

Winner of the UEFA EURO 2000 and also a FIFA World Cup winner with France in 1998.
Christian Karembeu appeared 53 times for France, scoring once.
Winner of two UEFA Champions League tournaments, in 1998 and 2000 with Real Madrid CF, beating Juventus FC 1-0 in 1998 in Amsterdam, and Valencia CF 3-0 in 2000 in Paris.
Overall, Karembeu has appeared for seven clubs with 395 appearances altogether.

Uefa Head of Special Football Projects


A French native with Yugoslav origins, Dragan graduate from the University of Wales Institute in Cardiff where he earned successively a B.A degree in European Business Management and a Masters in Business Administration.
He then spent four years in London with Decathlon, the world’s leading sports retail & manufacturing company, where his role consisted in developing the brand awareness and B2B operations across the UK as Head of Brand & Business Development, before taking up an exciting in, newly created role with UEFA to fulfill his lifetime ambition to make his marks in the football world.
In his seven years spent at UEFA, Dragan first took charge of the strategy and development of the UEFA Champions League, the overhaul of the UEFA Cup into Europa League. Since then, he has been working very closely with the UEFA President, Michel Platini, conceptualising and leading major promotional and football- centric projects in partnership with UEFA’s key stakeholders: clubs, national associations, and commercial and media partners.
Besides, Dragan has established and fostered a worldwide network of “ambassadors”, which includes many of the biggest names in football.

Graduated in Communication Science and Advertising and he have a MBA from Universidad Del Pacifico in Lima, Peru. He worked in “Young & Rubicam” in Peru where he specialized in advertising, direct marketing and brand identity consulting. After various experiences as director of strategy and business, from 2007 to 2011, he worked as Digital Business Manager for Real Madrid. He was in charge of the strategy and management of the club’s digital business, commerce business development and executive of marketing plans and affiliation programs.
Oscar Ugaz has 15 years of professional experience in marketing, digital, sponsorship activation and commercial areas for multinational companies that made him an important icon in this area.

For 30 years Mr. Kabatznick has worked within the United States and international entertainment business sector as senior executive for the world’s leading companies. Today, Mr. Kabatznick oversees all of AEG Facilities business expansion and development efforts throughout Europe. Expanding upon AEG’s successful venue management within the US, the UK and Germany, Brian has lead the AEG Facilities team to develop new and/or existing stadium and arenas within the AEG family across the UK, Scandinavia and the European continent.
Prior to joining AEG, Brian was Vice President of Business Development for a US management company specializing in entertainment venue operations for arenas, theaters and stadiums. From 1988-2002 Brian worked for Ticketmaster US and Ticketmaster International as senior executive, including Vice President Ticketmaster Midwest overseeing 5 regional offices, and Executive Vice President for Ticketmaster International where he managed the existing worldwide businesses and led the acquisition opportunities for the world’s leading ticketing company. During that time Brian managed and developed new ticketing businesses within the United Kingdom, Ireland, France, Canada, Mexico, Australia, Argentina and Chile. Brian is headquartered at AEG’s European Headquarters in London.

Enric is a marketing and digital media specialist with over twenty years experience in the Spanish and International markets. Enric was appointed Managing Director of McCann Barcelona in 2009. Enric joined McCann Worldgroup in 2000 as the Managing Director of McCann Healthcare Barcelona.
Enric has built upon his experience in a variety of roles with notable highlights including the creation, launch and development of McCann Digital Iberia in 2006 and the launch of the McCann Consumer Lab in Barcelona’s own innovation hub the 22@barcelonadistrictin2011.
Enric is the director and lead professor of the Master of Digital Business at ESIC Business School. Enric has led in the creation and development of the social media strategy of FC Barcelona and Rafel Nadal.

David is the founder of Loxley & Co. a change marketing specialist. He has been working with the Euroleague for the past two years and was charged with creating a new social responsibility marketing programme.

Previously a director with Octagon, the first head of the Laureus Foundation and marketing director of Laureus and then the Honda Racing F1 Team, David has over 20 years' topline sports marketing experience with some of the world’s leading brands and properties. He will be moderator of this year’s marketing summit.
