APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS

Applicants for the Sports Business MBA by EB Institute are requested to complete and attach the required documents:

2. Bachelor Diploma & its supplements (transcript of records / mark sheet) (A high quality photo scan copies):

  • All documents must be in the original language
  • As well as translated into English, certified by a Notary
  • And approved by an Apostille (for citizens of countries acceding to the 1961 Hague Convention)

Documents will be legalized by the Centre of Quality Assessment in Higher Education in Lithuania by Vytautas Magnus University International Relations Department.

3. A letter with transcript of records should be sent by registered mail from your university, which issued Bachelor degree for you, directly to Vytautas Magnus University International Relations Department, K. Donelaičio str. 58, 44248 Kaunas, Lithuania. Transcript of records should list all the subjects, grades, and credits and/or hours.

4. Filled and signed Letter of Concurrence

5. Passport Photo Page Scan
If you do not have a passport, please send a scan of your Personal Identity Document (both sides)

6. One Recent Headshot Photo

7. Letter of Motivation (1,200-3,000 characters in length)

8. Curriculum Vitae

After applying, the documents are sent to the Sports Business MBA commission. It will take up to 10 working days (after receiving ALL documents) to decide whether the applicant is eligible or not for the programme. Applicants will be informed by the Sports Business MBA coordinator regarding their admission request through the receipt of a scanned acceptance letter.

A Study Contract must then be signed by the applicant, but not earlier than one week before the start of the studies, together with settling payment of the tuition fees first installment.

Tuition fees are €9,000. This amount is to be paid by installments with a first installment of €4,500 to be paid after receiving the acceptance letter, but no later than 9 September 2018. The second installment of €4,500 is to be paid no later than 24 February 2019.

Tuition fees exclude:

  • Travel, entry visa, accommodation and meal expenses
  • Any additional costs derived from enrolment in the Sports Business MBA

Entry Visa Information

Applicants from non-EU / EEA countries are required to obtain a national multi-entry D Type visa for studies from the nearest Lithuanian Embassy or Consulate of their home country. After the first instalment of the tuition fee payment is received in the VMU bank account, the applicant is provided with a mediation letter in order to obtain the entry visa. VMU will mediate for the applicant to obtain said entry visa with the Lithuanian Embassy and Consulate. Please check the list of Lithuanian Embassies and Consulates. The mediation letter, issued in the Lithuanian language, confirms the applicant is accepted to VMU (study programme: Sports Business MBA by EB Institute, payment of tuition fee and period of the first study year are indicated). If the applicant is coming from a foreign country where Lithuania does not have a representative Embassy or Consulate, the applicant must verify where a Lithuanian Embassy or Consulate is located and if it provides national multi-entry D type visa for studies for citizens of the applicant’s home country. VMU also provides applicants with a confirmation letter, issued in English, for the Intermediate Embassy or Consulate.

Register for an Appointment at the Lithuanian Embassy or Consulate

After obtaining the original acceptance, confirmation and mediation letters from VMU, the applicant is requested to register for a personal appointment at the Lithuanian Embassy or Consulate. Please be informed of and prepare the documents required by the Lithuanian Embassy or Consulate in order to apply for and obtain a national multi-entry D type visa for studies. Usually, the decision on the issue of an entry visa is made within 10-14 days after the receipt of an application. However, sometimes it takes longer depending on the specific country the applicant comes from.

Note: Students who have a national multi-entry D type visa for studies must arrive in Lithuania first. If your flight is not direct to your final destination, you cannot leave the airport as you will not be allowed to continue your trip to Lithuania. Studies Withdrawal

Students may submit a request to withdraw from their studies at any time. This request is irrevocable and must be presented to the Study Program Administrator via email ([email protected]). The student is not eligible to receive a refund of the tuition fees.
