Zalgiris Kaunas is the 2007 Nike International Junior Tournament champion! The Lithuanian youngsters defeated BC FMP of Serbia by a tight 74-78 as both teams had finished the group stage perfect with respective 3-0 records. A 74-76 with 10 seconds remaining had all options open but a last layup by Vytenis Lipkevicius decided the game for Zalgiris, who lift their second trophy since they won in the first edition in Barcelona in 2003. Donatas Motiejunas led the winners with 20 points. |
