Montepaschi wraps up third place
Montepaschi Siena finished third place at the 2008 Final Four in Madrid with an exciting 97-93 overtime win over Tau Ceramica. Terrell McIntyre set a new Euroleague Basketball Final Four record with 12 assists as the Italian champs secured a top seed for next season’s regular season draw.

CSKA wins its sixth crown
CSKA Moscow wrote another chapter in its illustrious Euroleague Basketball history by defeating Maccabi Tel Aviv 77-91 for the 2008 Euroleague title – its sixth continental championship crown and second in the past three years. Trajan Langdon scored 21 and was named Final Four MVP.

Tau falls short again
Tau Ceramica lost another Final Four thriller, going down in overtime 97-93 to Montepaschi in the Third Place Game on Sunday in Madrid. Pete Mickeal scored 16 points and grabbed 10 rebounds to pace Tau, which finished in fourth place for the second straight season.

Maccabi settles for second place
Maccabi Elite Tel Aviv lost to CSKA Moscow in the Euroleague Final for the second time in three years, falling 77-91 in Madrid. Will Bynum scored 23 to lead the Israeli champs in their 13th Euroleague title game, but it was not enough against CSKA’s balanced attack.
