FIBA World executives visit Euroleague Basketball headquarters

 Euroleague Basketball welcomed to its headquarters today a delegation of FIBA World's top executives to discuss further collaboration between the two basketball entities. Euroleague Basketball was honored to host Mr. Yvan Mainini, FIBA World president; Mr.
Patrick Baumann, Secretary General of FIBA World; and Zoran Radovic, Development Director for FIBA World. During the meeting, all present were able to discuss issues that affect both organizations, as well as share ideas on possible future projects between Euroleague Basketball and FIBA World. However, the main point of discussion has been the future of competitions, as both Euroleague Basketball as well as FIBA World are in a restructuring process, at the club level for next season and at the national team level for 2017. Both parties have agreed on most of the points discussed and will continue conversations in the following months.
"We are happy to have hosted our friends and representatives of FIBA World in our headquarters," said Jordi Bertomeu, Euroleague Basketball's President and CEO. "It has offered us the opportunity to bring to the table ways of collaboration and looking at ways of improving the growth of the sport of basketball."
