Basketball Wheelchair Championships in MadridBasketball Wheelchair Championships being held on Thursday, May 1st at the San Agustín School.

Euroleague for Life & the Spanish Committe of UNICEF The most important event of the European basketball season started with a social responsibility action developed together with UNICEF. A total of eight players, two from each of the participating teams in the Final Four visited with players and teams from the European Basketball Wheelchair Championships being held on Thursday, May 1st at the San Agustín School.

The Euroleague stars were Tomas Van den Spiegel and Nikos Zizis of CSKA Moscow, Sergi Vidal and Zoran Planinic of Tau Ceramica, Tal Burstein and Derrick Sharp of Maccabi Elite Tel Aviv, and Vlado Ilievski and Shaun Stonerook of Montepaschi Siena. During the event all of the players had the chance to share their feelings and experiences, as well as talk about the differences of both basketball disciplines, with the aim to transmit the importance of sport in our personal development.
