Todor Stoykov - Lukoil Lukoil Academic Sofia took a crucial step to conquering another Bulgarian-League title on Tuesday by edging CSKA 82-80 in Game 2 of the best-of-five finals series. Academic now leads the series 2-0 and could win the title with a win in Game 3 on Friday. Donta Smith led the way with 29 points and 8 rebounds, Todor Stoykov had 23 and Lamont Jones 17. For CSKA, Jordan Bozov tallied 23 and Dimitar Mirakovski 18. Academic started strong to take a comfortable 33-17 margin at the end of the first quarter. Early in the second quarter, the cushion rose to 21 points, but CSKA managed to climb within 51-43 at halftime. The defending champs climbed to 74-55 after 30 minutes, but Lukoil then lost its edge and CSKA responded with a 22-4 run to get back to 78-77 with 3 minutes left. But Smith made his last four free throws to keep his side ahead. Bozov intentionally missed the last with three seconds left hoping his teammates would pull down the rebound. It didn't happen and Lukoil got the victory.
