Bulgarian League, Game 17: January 20, 2007
Todor Stoykov - Lukoil Academic CSKA and Lukoil Academic continue to share first place in the Bulgarian League with 16-1 records. Lukoil thrashed Spartak Pleven 105-79, exploding in the second half after leading 50-45 at halftime. Todor Stoykov led the way with 29 points and 9 rebounds, Mate Skelin added 21, Georgi Davidov 14 and Lamont Jones dished 9 assists. Iliya Stankov paced Spartak Pleven with 28. CSKA topped Spartak MVR 112-84, after building a 37-16 cushion at the end of the first quarter. Jordan Bozov was the high scorer with 23 points, Hristo Nikolov drained 21, Brad Traina was a perfect 4-of-4 from beyond the arc on his way to 20 and Sinisa Avramovski had 13 with 7 rebounds. Spartak MVR was led by Krum Doychinov, who scored 25. In other games, Balkan stunned Levski 75-81 as Pavel Noykov tallied 22 points and 5 steals; Aleksandar Gruev scored 22 to lead Rilski Sportist over Dunav 74-80 and Cherno More IG edged Yambol 83-76.
