The three-way tie for first place in the Czech League persisted over the weekend as defending champion CEZ Basket Nymburk, Geofin Novy Jicin and BK Prostejov all won on the road and improved to 9-1. Nymburk crushed USK Praha 71-104 behind Radoslav Rancik's 25 points. The game was close for 20 minutes and Nymburk led only 42-47 at halftime, but dominated the second half for the big win. Arthur Lee added 14 points and 6 assists, Ladislav Sokolovsky had 12 and Pavel Benes and Radek Necas scored 10 apiece for the winners. Lucious Wagner and Muris Andelija posted 13 each for Praha. Geofin Novy Jicin downed BC Kolin 64-95 as Stepan Reinberger put up 22 points to lead six Novy Jicin scorers in double figures and Robert Tomaszek and Aleksander Bojic had 20 each to lead BK Prostejov to a 76-87 victory at BK Sadska. There was some news at the other end of the table as BK Usti nad Labem topped BK Kondori Liberec 79-78 for its first win of the season. Kevin Thomas and Tomas Hruby led the winners with 19 points each. In other games, NH Ostrava got 24 points and 13 rebounds from John Ofoegbu in a 77-64 win over BK Decin and A PLUS OHL ZS Brno BC scored a 67-78 victory at BK Synthesia Pardubice as Stepan Vrubl posted 21 points and 7 assists.
