Marton Bader - BK Prostejov (Photo: BK Prostejov) BK Prostejov stayed alive in the Czech League semifinals by edging Geofin Novy Jicin 104-103 in overtime at home in Game 4 on Saturday. The best-of-five semifinal series is now tied at 2-2 but Novy Jicin hosts Game 5 on Wednesday. Rahsaan Ames paced the winners with 28 points. Stanislav Votroubek added 20, Goran Savanovic had 12, Marton Bader and Jaroslav Prasil each got 11 while Aleksander Bojic contributed 10 for Prostejov. Hurl Beechum had 26 points for Novy Jicin, Kenneth Walker added 21, Robert Sarovic 11 and Joseph Chapman 10 for the guests, that led 65-76 late in the third quarter. Ames and Bojic fueled a 20-3 run that put Prostejov ahead, 85-79. Beechum helped the guests to get a 91-94 but a three-pointer by Votroubek with 38 seconds to go in regulation was enough to force overtime, 94-94. A layup by Walker gave Novy Jicin its last lead, 102-103, with 30 seconds remaining. Bader scored in the other end to keep Prostejov alive in the series.
