Swiss League Playoffs, Semifinals, Game 3: May 3, 2008
Pascal Perrier-David - Benetton Fribourg Olympic Benetton Fribourg and Lugano Tigers each took 2-1 leads in their respective semifinals series by winning game-3. Olympic thrashed SAV Vacallo 75-50, while the Tigers downed Birstal Starwings 79-62. Fribourg got off to an amazing start and built a 30-9 lead at the end of the first quarter, closing definitively the game with another 22-11 charge after halftime to enter the final period ahead 66-32. Tresore Quidome had 14 points, Pascal Perrier-David 12 and Marcus Sloan 11 for the winners, while Nikola Dacevic nailed 23 for Vacallo. Lugano Tigers downed Birstal Starwings 79-62 as Andrija Crnogorac had 16 points and Duane Erwin 12. The hosts led 26-14 after 10 minutes, but the Starwings reacted in the second quarter to get on 39-37 at halftime. Defense was the key for the Tigers, who allowed just 25 points in the second half to take the win and the series lead.
