Dutch League Finals, Game 1: May 18, 2008
Teddy Gipson - MyGuide Amsterdam MyGuide Amsterdam drew first blood in the Dutch League finals on Sunday with a 78-63 win over EiffelTowers Den Bosch in Game 1. Amsterdam took control with a 17-2 run that bridged the first two periods and never looked back. The lead would reach as many as 21 points in the fourth quarter before the visitors trimmed it when the game was already decided. Teddy Gipson led Amsterdam with 16 points, Peter van Paassen posted 13 points and 8 rebounds and Stefan Wessels recorded 12 points and 5 steals for the winners. Darrell Tucker led Den Bosch with 14 points, Robert Owens scored 13 and Kees Akerboom Jr. 12 for the defending champs. Game 2 of the best-of-seven series is set for Tuesday at Den Bosch.
