Novica Velickovic - PartizanDefending champion Partizan Belgrade recorded its sixth win in a row in the Adriatic League Tuesday by topping Krka Novo Mesto on the road 65-80. Novica Velickovic shined with a career-high 27 points plus 7 assists as Partizan improved to 13-1. Red Star remained one win behind Partizan after beating FMP 77-65 behind a strong showing from Lawrence Roberts, but Hemofarm Stada dropped back after falling 79-75 at Cibona. Niksa Prkacin netted 17 for Cibona, which at 10-4 is in sole possession of fourth place, just one victory behind FMP. Meanwhile Zadar downed Split CO 83-91 in a battle of Croatian League powers and Union Olimpija edged Buducnost m:tel 81-79 on late Vlado Ilievski free throws. In other games, Vojvodina Srbijagas bested Zagreb CO 84-75 thanks to 20 points from Charron Fisher and Bosna ASA BHT defeated Helios Domzale 87-72 as Ivan Ivanovic produced 18 points and 6 assists.

Defending champion Partizan Belgrade recorded its sixth win in a row in the Adriatic League Tuesday by topping Krka Novo Mesto on the road 65-80. Novica Velickovic shined with a career-high 27 points plus 7 assists as Partizan improved to 13-1. The visitors made quick work of Novo Mesto with a 5-23 opening period that set the stage for an easy evening. Stephane Lasme added 12 points and 9 rebounds as nine different Partizan players scored at least 4 points. Red Star remained one win behind Partizan after beating FMP 77-65 behind a strong showing from Lawrence Roberts. FMP was within 6 points early in the fourth period, but Roberts and Andre Owens scored all the points in an 8-0 run that took the fight out of FMP. Roberts finished with 18 points, 8 rebounds and 5 steals, Owens posted 17 points and 5 assists and Vladimir Stimac added 14 points. Dragan Labovic and Predrag Samardziski scored 14 points apiece and combined for 20 rebounds in defeat.

Cibona topped Hemofarm Stada 79-75 to climb within one victory of third place. It was a balanced game that saw the two teams combined for just 21 fourth-quarter points. The last 10 minutes also featured three ties and two lead changes. Hemofarm was within 75-74 with three minutes to go, but neither team would make a basket after that and free throws by Davor Kus and Niksa Prkacin wrapped up the victory for the hosts. Prkacin led Cibona with 17 points, 7 rebounds and 5 steals, Earl Calloway and Kus netted 16 each, Marin Rozic added 15 and Jared Homan finished with 11 points and 10 boards. Stefan Markovic and Milan Macvan paced Hemofarm with 19 points apiece. Dejan Ivanov scored 8 of his season-high 24 points in the third quarter as Zadar built a double-digit lead that it nursed the rest of the way for an 83-91 road win at Split CO. Todor Gecevski, Rok Stipcevic and Hrovje Peric added 16 points apiece and Marlon Garnett had 10 for Zadar. Sinisa Stemberger scored a career-high 26 for Spit in defeat.

Union Olimpija edged Buducnost m:tel 81-79 on a pair of late Vlado Ilievski free throws. Buducnost took control early with 9 unanswered points to finish the first quarter and remained ahead until the fourth quarter. After Vladimir Dasic made it 58-69 early in the fourth, a Frank Robinson triple ignited the Olimpija comeback. Jasmin Hukic connected from downtown to tie it at 77-77 with less than two minutes remaining. Vladimir Micov put the visitors ahead from the line, but Ilievski free throws put Olimpija on top and Nemanja Gordic missed twice from the line for Buducnost allowing Olimpija the win. Ilievski was 12 for 13 from the line en route to 19 points, Vladimir Golubovic added 12 points and 9 rebounds and Mirza Begic and Miha Zupan scored 10 each for the winners. Micov paced Buducnost with 25 points, Nenad Misanovic had 18 and Dasic 13.
