In the Bulgarian League, Lukoil Academic dominates with a perfect 4-0 record, and Spartak Pleven is off to a great start with 3-1. Lukoil didn't have much trouble beating Yambol 62-93, as the champs built a huge 27-48 lead in the first half. Tim Pickett led all scores with 28 points, while Kenny Adeleke ruled inside with 15 points and 18 rebounds. Native star Todor Stoykov scored 14 points, and Chavdar Kostov came off the bench to match Stoykov's contribution. Yambol was led by Stanislav Govedarov with 16 points. Spartak Pleven destroyed Sliven 95-51 as Rob Preston showed the way with 21 points and 8 rebounds. Euroins Cherno More won an 89-90 heartbreaker against Levski behind 24 points from Corey McIntosh and 16 points plus 14 rebounds from Atila Santos. Vasil Evtimov posted 21 points and grabbed 12 rebounds for Levski. Rilski Sportist used a strong second half to defend homecourt and prevail against CSKA Sofia 93-81. Ivan Lilov led 4 Rilski players in double digits with 25 points.
