Croatian League, Regular Season, Phase 2, Game 6: April 10-12, 2009
Zagreb Crobenz remained undefeated through six games in the Croatian League by downing Dubrovnik 92-112, while Cibona also won to remain just one win back. On Saturday, Zagreb topped Dubrovnik behind 23 points apiece from Luka Zoric and Ante Tomic, also grabbed 10 rebounds. Zoric was a defensive force with 4 blocks for Zagreb. Cibona thrashed Svjetlost 99-67 on Friday despite playing without Alan Anderson. Jared Homan paced the hosts with 19 points, Luksa Andric notched 17 points, Marin Rozic 14 and Robert Troha and Vedran Princ added 10 points apiece. Davor Kus dished 7 of Cibona's 23 team-assists. In the other Saturday match, Split CO switched to a higher gear in the second half to beat Sibenik 90-111 as Eddie Shannon paced four scorers in double figures with 26 points and 6 steals for the visitors. On Sunday, Zadar wrapped up the weekend by downing Cedevita 68-76 after a strong, 13-19 fourth quarter. The win saw Zadar improve to 3-1. Desmon Farmer came off the bench to lead the champs with 19 points and Hrvoje Peric produced 12 points for the champs, who also got 11 points apiece from Marko Car and Todor Gecevski. Car also was brilliant on reading the passing lanes, finishing with 7 steals.
