Tomislav Ruzic - Zadar and Salva Guardia - iurbentia Bilbao - Final Eight Turin 2009Zadar tied the best-of-five Croatian League finals by downing Cibona 83-72 at home in Game 2 on Saturday. Series is now tied at 1-1 but Cibona hosts Game 3 on Tuesday. Tomislav Ruzic led the winners with 21 points. Rok Stipcevic and Vladimer Boisa each added 14, Juby Johnson had 12 while Damir Rancic got 11 for Zadar. Alan Anderson led Cibona with 29 points and 12 rebounds. Jared Homan added 11 points for Cibona, that was without starting center Niksa Prkacin. Zadar opened the game with a 9-0 run that Marko Car capped with a layup. Homan and Vedran Princ brought Cibona back to life, 15-13, but Johnson followed a three-point play with a layup for a 20-16 Zadar edge after 10 minutes. Anderson kept Cibona in the game, 36-30, at halftime. Boisa soon helped Zadar to make it a double-digit game, 42-31. Three-pointers by Stipcevic and Ruzic broke the game open, 59-41, late in the third quarter. Anderson and Kus managed to get Cibona within 75-69 but free throw accuracy allowed Zadar to put the victory on ice.
