Brandon Bowman led Bonn with 20 points in the 69-71 win. The team will look to wrap up the series when it hosts Game 3 on Sunday. Defending champion Alba Berlin went down 71-68 at Paderborn Baskets. Lavelle Felton's three-pointer with 10 seconds remaining prove to be the game-winner. Brose Baskets Bamberg evened its series with MEG Gottingen with a 76-69 win. Bamberg took the lead for good on a John Goldsberry three-pointer to open the second half and despite the best efforts of Gottingen, held on for victory. Elton Brown paced Bamberg with 15 points and Robert Garrett netted 14. Keith Simmons’s buzzer-beater lifted Deutsche Bank Skyliners past EWE Baskets Oldenburg 79-77. Pascal Roller paced the winners with 18 points and 5 assists and Derrick Allen added 16 points and 8 rebounds. Rickey Paulding led Oldenburg with 18.

Telekom Baskets Bonn edged ratiopharm Ulm 69-71 to take a 2-0 lead in the best-of-five series. Brandon Bowman led Bonn with 20 points. Bonn led by 17 early in the fourth quarter, but Jeff Gibbs scored 8 as Ulm reeled off 15 unanswered points, while keeping Bonn scoreless for over five-and-a-half minutes, to get back in the game. A pair of Dru Joyce free throws made it 69-70 with 37 seconds to go, but that was a s far as Ulm would get and Vincent Yarbrough iced the game from the line with 3 seconds to go. E. J. Rowland added 9 points and 4 assists for the winners. Sean Finn led Ulm with 18 points.

Defending champion Alba Berlin went down 71-68 at Paderborn Baskets. Lavelle Felton's three-pointer with 10 seconds remaining prove to be the game-winner. Berlin never led after the first quarter and trailed by as many as 11 early in the fourth, but rallied behind Immanuel McElroy and Julius Jenkins, whose back-to-back threes tied the game at 68-68. But Felton answered in style and Paderborn opted to foul Rashad Wright with 3 seconds left, preventing Berlin from getting off a game-tying shot. Wright missed the first and then purposely missed the second, but couldn’t a shot off. Felton paced Paderborn with 14 points and Natahn Peavy had 13. Adam Chubb paced Berlin with 20 points and Jenkins added 10.
