The Newcastle Eagles took advantage of an Everton Tigers loss to strengthen their position atop the British League. The Eagles improved their league-leading record to 19-4 by beating Sheffield Sharks. The Tigers are second at 17-4 followed by the Plymouth Raiders and the Leicester Riders with 16 victories apiece. The Eagles picked up a 66-80 road victory over Sheffield as Reggie Jackson scored 18 points, Tafaro Toney notched 17 points and Trey Moore had 16. The Everton Tigers started the weekend by beating the Plymouth Raiders 92-71, led by 29 points from Andre Smith and 22 points from Josh Gross. But on the next day, the Tigers were edged 77-74 by the Leicester Riders as Duane Jones paced the winners with 19 points in his debut with the Riders. For the Tigers, Marcus Bailey finished with 22 points. The Scottish Rocks had a tough week, loosing two times. First, the Rocks fell to the Marshall MK Lions 104-91 as Yorick Williams led six scorers in double digits with 21 points for the winners. Then, the Worthing Thunder topped the Rocks 109-99 behind 32 points from Colby Bargeman. The Plymouth Raiders pounded end-of-the-table London Capital 103-71. Allister Gall produced 23 points to lead the Raiders.
