The Greek League starts with Panathinaikos and Olympiacos ready to fight for the title. Panathinaikos is the favorite as it seeks its seventh consecutive Greek League title. The Greens have dominated the competition since 2003 and feature a deep, star-studded roster with the likes of Dimitris Diamantidis, Sarunas Jasikevicius, Vassilis Spanoulis, Antonis Fotsis, Nikola Pekovic and Mike Batiste. Olympiacos, however, has invested in new players to put together an impressive roster with virtually no limits. Theo Papaloukas, Yotam Halperin, Nikola Vujcic, Josh Childress and Zoran Erceg play alongside Milos Teodosic, Panos Vasilopoulos and Sofoklis Schortsianitis. The sports rivalry between both teams will be bigger than ever. Maroussi Costa Coffee, Panionios On Telecoms, Panellinios and Aris TT Bank are ready to challenge Olympiacos and Panathinaikos. Maroussi features Nikolai Padius, Jarod Stevenson, Billy Keys and Loukas Mavrokefalidis. Spencer Nelson, Kee Kee Clark, Darius Washington and Blagota Sekulic will try to help Aris to get back in the Euroleague. Panionios signed Aaron Miles, Goran Nikolic and Branko Cvetkovic to play with Lonny Baxter and Ivan Zoroski. Meanwhile, Panellinios landed Brad Newley, Djuro Ostojic and Jurica Golemac to round a powerful team that also includes Anthony Grundy, Ivan Radenovic and Stevan Nadjfeji. AEK got Trevon Bryant and D.J. Thompson to play with Nikos Hatzis and Christos Taputos while PAOK picked up Dejan Tomasevic to get ready for one of the strongest editions in Greek League history.
