Ksistof Lavrinovic paced the winners with 14 points while Rimantas Kaukenas and Henry Domercant each added 13 for Montepaschi. Marko Tusek led Avellino with 19 points. Benetton Treviso improved to 6-3 by edging Scavolini Spar Pesaro 103-97 in double overtime at home on Saturday. Gary Neal led the winners with 29 points, including a layup to force the first extra period. Sandro Nicevic added 27 and 9 rebounds for Benetton. GMAC Bologna dropped to 4-5 due to a 93-67 road loss against La Fortezza Bologna in the classic derby at Basket City on Sunday morning. Armani Jeans Milano moved up to 5-4 by beating Snaidero Cucine Udine 85-78 at home also on Sunday behind 16 points from Jobey Thomas. Carife Ferrara handed Lottomatica Roma its fourth straight Italian League loss 73-67. Mykal Riley scored 19 to pace the winners, who won their third game, while dropping Roma to 4-5. In other games, Banca Tercas Teramo edged Solsonica Rieti 84-88 in overtime, Angelico Biella thrashed Eldo Caserta 103-91 while Premiata Montegranaro topped NGC Cantu 85-82.

Kaukenas and Domercant each added 13, Benjamin Eze had 12 while Morris Finley got 11 for Montepaschi. Tusek led Avellino with 19 points. Drake Diener added 14, while Eric Wiliams had 11 for the hosts, who led 52-51 after the break. It didn't last long, however, as Stonerook and Kaukenas combined for all the points in a 0-7 run while back-to-back triples by Domercant helped Montepaschi keep a 63-69 edge after 30 minutes. A three-pointer by Tusek got Avellino within 70-73 with six minutes to go, but Eze, Romain Sato and Kaukenas kept Montepaschi ahead all the way until the final buzzer. Armani Jeans Milano moved up to 5-4 by beating Snaidero Cucine Udine 85-78 at home also on Sunday. Thomas led the winners with 16 points. Pape Sow added 13 while Luca Vitali, Marco Mordente and David Hawkins each had 12 for Milano, which trailed 37-42 at halftime. Thomas buried 3 triples after the break and Mordente also struck from downtown for a 59-56 Milano edge after 30 minutes. Milano boosted its margin to 70-58 early in the fourth quarter and never looked back.

Carife Ferrara handed Lottomatica Roma its fourth straight Italian League loss 73-67. The hosts used a 10-0 run late in the second period to build a 36-28 halftime lead. Roma continued to challenge and Allan Ray helped cut the gap to 5 in the closing minutes, but Fabio Zanelli iced the game from the line. Riley paced Ferrara with 19 points and Harold Jamison added 16. Ray paced Roma with 15, Brandon Jennings added 12 and Andre Hutson and Ibby Jaaber scored 11 each in defeat. Benetton Treviso improved to 6-3 by edging Scavolini Spar Pesaro 103-97 in double overtime at home on Saturday. Neal led the winners with 29 points. Nicevic added 27 and 9 rebounds, Judson Wallace posted a double-double of 18 points and 13 rebounds and Bobby Dixon scored 10 points for Benetton. LeRoy Hurd and Ramel Curry each had 26 points for Scavolini, which rallied from a 11-point deficit in the final six minutes of regulation to get a 74-76 edge. A layup by Neal forced overtime at 76-76. Neal made a free throw for an 89-87 Benetton lead, but Curry scored in penetration for a 89-89 tie after 45 minutes. Wallace led an 8-1 opening run in the second overtime and Benetton never looked back. GMAC Bologna dropped to 4-5 due to a 93-67 road loss against La Fortezza Bologna in the classic derby at Basket City on Sunday morning. Keith Langford led Virtus with 20 points. Lazaros Papadopoulos had 19 points and 14 rebounds in his first game with Fortitudo. DJ Strawberry added 18 and Gregor Fucka had 12 for the guests. Both teams were tied at 38-38 after the break, but Virtus improved its offense to register a big home win.
