Marijonas Petravicius - Lietuvos RytasZalgiris stays undefeated atop the Lithuanian League standings with a 15-0 record, with Lietuvos Rytas right behind at 14-1. Zalgiris did not find much trouble to down Sakalai 51-77 on the road on Friday. Dainius Salenga led the winners with 20 points. Paulius Jankunas added 19 while Jonas Maciulis had 17 on 11-for-12 free throws for Zalgiris, that trailed 34-30 at halftime. Zalgiris allowed just 17 points in the second half, as a 0-13 run broke the game open, 46-64, midway through the final period. Meanwhile, L. Rytas thrashed Neptunas 72-93 on the road also on Friday. Marijonas Petravicius paced the winners with 24 points and 15 rebounds. Steponas Babrauskas and Justinas Sinica each added 12 points for L. Rytas, that already led 38-48 at halftime. Neptunas got within 68-74 with under 4 minutes to go, but three-pointers by Martynas Gecevicius and Chuck Eidson sealed the outcome down the stretch. In other games on Wednesday, Aisciai overwhelmed 75-123 behind 29 points from Giedrius Kurtinaitis, Nevezis thrashed Alytus 86-128 with 32 points from Valdas Dabkus, Siauliai bested Techasas 114-65 while Kaunas Triobet beat Sakalai 87-77.
