PGE Turow Zgorzelec is the new Polish League-leader after holding on to beat Kotwica Kolobrzeg in overtime, while defending champion Asseco Prokom fell at Victoria Gornik. Turow improved to 8-2 – one win more than Prokom and Polpharma Starogard Gdanski. Turow came back from 16 points down in the third quarter to edge Kotwica 71-73 in overtime. The duo of Chris Daniels and Krzysztof Roszyk led Turow back after it trailed 46-30 and Damir Miljkovic put the visitors up 58-62 in the closing seconds, however Julien Mills forced overtime with a buzzer-beating three. But in the extra period, Roszyk heated up again and guided Turow to the win. John Turek paced Turow with 19 points, 9 rebounds and 7 assists, Miljkovic netted 14 and Daniels posted 13 points and 10 boards. Mills led Kotwica with 16 points and 7 assists. Prokom came up short at Gornik 74-71. The champs blew a 12-point third-quarter lead and couldn’t hit the big shots down the stretch after Kamil Chanas put Gornik ahead. Tomasz Zablocki paced Gornik with 16 points and 9 rebounds and Chanas added 12. Dan Ewing led Prokom with 16 points, Filip Dylewicz posted 15 points and 10 rebounds, David Logan had 11 points and passed for 8 assists and Pat Burke scored 11. Polpharma topped ISS Sportino Inowroclaw 83-66 as Michael Hicks led six Polpharma scorers in double figures with 16. In other games, Anwil Wloclawek beat Energa Czarni Slupsk 84-67 behind 18 points from Andrzej Pluta, AZS Koszalin topped PBG Basket Poznan 84-76 thanks to Igor Milicic's 19 points and Atlas Stal Ostrow bested Sokolow Znicz Jaroslaw 72-77 as Alan Daniels scored 19.
