Polish League, Regular Season, Game 13: November 22-23, 2008
Polpharma Starogard Gdanski leads the Polish League standings with a 9-2 record, with PGE Turow second at 9-3, Polonia Warszawa third at 8-3 and defending champion Asseco Prokom, that did not play in this round, fourth at 7-3. Polpharma did not find much trouble to down Kotwica Kolobrzeg 91-68 at home on Saturday. Erick Barkley led the winners with 24 points while Mujo Tuljkovic added 21 in an easy win for Polpharma. Meanwhile, Turow confirmed its good moment right before the start of the 2008-09 Eurocup regular season by edging Victoria Gornik Walbrzych 65-75 on the road also on Saturday. Damir Miljkovic paced Turow with 19 points while Chris Daniels added 17 for the winners. Turow trailed 40-33 at halftime but rallied in the third quarter to get a 49-51 edge after 30 minutes. The guests managed to seal the outcome minutes before the final buzzer. Meanwhile, Polonia survived a tough test by edging Energa Czarni Slupsk 100-95 in double overtime at home on Saturday behind 26 points from Tommy Adams. In other games, Bank BPS Basket Kwidzyn topped PBG Basket Poznan 70-84, ISS Sportino Inowroclaw edged Sokolow Znicz Jaroslaw 68-76 while Atlas Stal Ostrow Wlkp. upset Anwil Wloclawek 75-89 with 38 points from Alan Daniels.
