Sport Lisboa Benfica keeps leading the Portuguese League standings with a perfect 27-0 record. CAB Madeira is second at 23-4 while Ovarense Dolce Vita went down to third place at 22-5. Benfica had to battle than expected to edge Vagos NorbainLusavouga 91-87 at home on Saturday. Seth Doliboa led the winners with 27 points. Sergio Ramos added 21, Joao Santos had 14 while Miguel Minhava got 13 for Benfica. Pedro Monteiro had 23 points for Vagos, that stayed in the game in the final minutes but could not seal the upset. CAB beat Academica 75-89 on the road also on Saturday. Lance Soderberg led the winners with 23 points while Jason Smith added 22 for Madeira, that led 39-47 at halftime and managed to keep a safe lead throughout the second half. Ovarense registered a 85-78 road loss against VSC. Graham Louis and Donte Miller paced the winners each with 27 points. John Waller led Ovarense with 23 points. In other games, Casino Ginasio downed Porto Ferpinta 81-64.
