Maciej Lampe - Khimki Khimki remaines on top of the Russian league with a perfect 5-0 record, while Euroleague champ CSKA Moscow is the only other unbeaten team after winning its third straight. In Kazan, Khimki downed the previously undefeated Unics 69-75 behind 17 points from swingman Kelly McCarty and 16 points from center Maciej Lampe. Jorge Garbajosa added 13 points, and Anton Ponkrashov came off the bench to score 10 points and dish 5 assists. Dmitri Sokolov led Unics with 15 points, Terrell Lyday had 14 and Kresimir Loncar added 11 points off the bench. The game was as close as it could be, with lots of ties and lead changes, and it was all tied at 65-65 with four minutes to go. But Khimki stepped up big on the defensive end to take over with a 10-2 run to coast to the win. In Moscow, CSKA won a tough battle against Triumph Lyubertsy 69-64. Triumph was down by double digits for most of the night, but made a huge comeback in the last period to make it 65-62 with 46 seconds to go. But Trajan Langdon answered the call by hitting the biggest shot of the game, then stole the ball and sealed the game from the free throw line. Langdon and Zoran Planinic led CSKA with 16 points each, while Erazem Lorbek came off the bench to add 15 points. Alan Anderson paced Triumph with 18 points and Vadim Panin chipped in with 11. In Samara, Dynamo Moscow improved to 3-1 after smashing CSK VVS 66-99 behind impressive 31 points and 13 rebounds from Bostjan Nachbar, who converted on 6 of his 8 three-point attempts. Travis Hansen and Robertas Javtokas added 12 points each, Jannero Pargo notched 11, while Darius Lavrinovic and Sergei Monya scored 10 points apiece for Dynamo. In other games, Spartak St. Petersburg beat Universitet Surgut 82-89 for the first victory of the season, behind 18 points from Yahor Meshcharakou, while Lokomotiv-Rostov crashed Spratak-Primorie 63-89, as Szymon Szewczyk paced Lokomotiv with 22 points. Later on Monday Lokomotiv-Rostov topped Enisey 68-77 in Krasnoyarsk, as Pero Antik led five Lokomotiv players in double figures with 17 points.
