CSKA big men Matjaz Smodis and Erazem Lorbek combined for 27 points to confirm the champs’ good shape. Ural Great edged BC Khimki 69-67, spoiling the visitors' chances of finishing the regular season in second place. Khimki fell to 13-6 and will probably have to beat Dynamo Moscow by at least 15 points next week, if it wants to finish second. Now Dynamo is second with a 13-5 record after defeating Spartak-Primorie 101-81. Bostjan Nachbar made 11 of his 12 free throw attempts to finish with 22 points and Darjus Lavrinovic amassed 21 points, 9 rebounds, 7 assists and 2 blocks for Dynamo. Also Unics Kazan (12-5) continues to fight for the second spot in the standings, pounding Lokomotiv-Rostov 81-51 with an excellent defensive effort at home. Universitet-Jugra Surgut picked up an important road victory: 69-75 over CSK-VVS Samara. Lionel Chalmers paced the visitors with 20 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists, while Gennady Zelenskiy scored 24 points for the hosts.

CSKA beat Triumph 66-80 as Smodis paced the champs with 15 points, Lorbek and Andrey Vorontsevich added 12 points each, and Nikos Zisis chipped in with 11 points. Viktor Khryapa grabbed a game-high 8 rebounds to help CSKA win the battle of the boards 24-33. Fedor Dmitriev was Triumph's top scorer with 17 points. Dynamo outscored Spartak-Primorie 32-17 in the third quarter en route to a solid 101-81 victory. Nachbar scored 22 points, Lavrinovic had an excellent all-around performance with 21 points, 9 rebounds, 7 assists and 2 blocks, Sergey Monya notched 15 points, Brian Chase added 12 and Dmitry Domani 11. Robertas Javtokas was 2 points shy of a double-double: 8 points, 11 rebounds and 2 blocks. Andrey Trushkin led Spartak-Primorie with 19 points.

In Perm, Ural Great won a 69-67 thriller over Khimki as Fedor Likholitov and Aleksey Surovtsev scored 18 points each and also pulled down a combined 15 rebounds for the hosts. For Khimki, Kelly McCarty netted 19 points, Timofey Mozgov produced 15 points to go with 9 rebounds, Vitaly Fridzon notched 13 points, while Mike Wilkinson grabbed a game-high 11 rebounds. Milt Palacio had a chance to tie the game with 5 seconds left on the clock, but missed from the free throw line. In Kazan, Unics thrashed Lokomotiv-Rostov 81-51 as Dmitry Sokolov scored 18 points, Terrell Lyday netted 15 points and Tariq Kirksay registered a double-double of 14 points and 10 rebounds for the winners.
