Igor Rakocevic - Tau CeramicaTau Ceramica and Kalise Gran Canaria keep tying atop the Spanish League standings, each with a 6-1 record, with Unicaja right behind at 6-2. Tau Ceramica bounced back from its Euroleague home loss against Lottomatica Roma by thrashing Cajasol 74-101 in Seville on Saturday. Mirza Teletovic paced the winners with 22 points while Igor Rakocevic added 21 in an easy road win for Tau. Meanwhile, Josh Fisher buried a game-winning three-pointer to make Gran Canaria edge Ricoh Manresa 67-68. Joel Freeland led the way for Gran Canaria with 15 points. Unicaja beat Pamesa Valencia 82-75 in Malaga on Saturday behind 26 points and 8 rebounds from Marcus Haislip. Real Madrid improved to 4-3 by topping iurbentia Bilbao Basket 84-74 in the Spanish capital on Sunday. Meanwhile, KV Joventut moved up to 5-3 by topping Bruesa GBC 67-78 in San Sebastian on Sunday behind 16 points from Demond Mallet. In other games, Alta Gestion Fuenlabrada thrashed MMT Estudiantes 71-89, ViveMenorca downed CAI Zaragoza 102-75 while C.B. Granada edged C.B. Murcia 79-70 behind 21 points from Jimmie Hunter.

Tau Ceramica showed its power by thrashing end-of-the-table Cajasol 74-101 in Seville on Saturday. Teletovic paced the winners with 22 points. Rakocevic added 21, Tiago Splitter had 15 while Will McDonald got 14 in an easy road win for Tau, that trailed 19-16 late in the first quarter. Rakocevic had 11 points in a game-breaking 2-16 run that was the turning point in this game. Cajasol collapsed at both ends while Tau boosted its lead to 33-52 at halftime and then again to 51-78 after 30 minutes, more than enough to seal the outcome. Real Madrid improved to 4-3 by topping iurbentia Bilbao Basket 84-74 in the Spanish capital on Sunday. Sergio Llull led the winners with 15 points while Felipe Reyes, Jeremiah Massey and Louis Bullock each added 14 for Madrid. Marko Banic and Javier Salgado each had 13 points for Bilbao while Predrag Savovic added 11 for the guests, that got their last lead at 8-10. Llull and Alex Mumbru led a 13-0 run that allowed Madrid to get a 47-34 halftime margin. Since that moment, Madrid managed to keep a double-digit margin all the way until the final buzzer.

Kalise Gran Canaria survived an incredible thriller by edging Ricoh Manresa 67-68 on a three-pointer by Fisher with 2 seconds to go. Freeland led the way for Gran Canaria with 15 points. Marcus Norris added 13 while Sitapha Savane had 10 for the winners. Josh Asselin led Manresa with 17 points. It all came down to the final minute, as free throws by Roman Montañez tied it at 65-65. Asselin had a key block on James Augustine that allowed Montañez to give Manresa a 67-65 edge with 17 seconds to go. Fisher had other ideas in mind and nailed the game-winning triple while Norris sealed the outcome with a block in the game's final possession. Unicaja moved up to 6-2 by beating Pamesa Valencia 82-75 in Malaga on Saturday. Haislip paced the winners with 26 points and 8 rebounds. Boni Ndong and Thomas Kelati each added 13 points for Unicaja. Victor Claver had 19 points for Pamesa, Albert Oliver added 18 and Ruben Douglas 10 for the guests, that rallied from a 15-point deficit to get within 33-31 late in the second quarter. Unicaja improved its margin to 41-36 at halftime while an unstoppable Haislip allowed the hosts to make it a 14-point game, 61-47, after 30 minutes. Pamesa only rallied once the outcome was clear. DKV Joventut improved to 5-3 by topping Bruesa GBC 67-78 in San Sebastian on Sunday. Mallet led the winners with 16 points. Edu Hernandez-Sonseca added 14, Bracey Wright had 13 while Simas Jasaitis got 10 for Joventut, that only led 63-65 with 4 minutes to go. Jan Jagla and Jasaitis each had 5 points in a 2-10 run that sealed the outcome down the stretch.
