Tau Ceramica took perhaps the biggest thriller in this round by edging CB Granada 86-87 on the road on Sunday in overtime on a game-winning fallaway jumper by Pete Mickeal. Igor Rakocevic led Tau with 30 points while Mickeal added 26 and 11 rebounds for the winners, that lead the standings with a 19-1 record. Regal FC Barcelona is now second at 16-4 while DKV Joventut is third with a 15-5 record. Regal FCB downed Kalise Gran Canaria 81-67 at home on Saturday behind 21 points from Juan Carlos Navarro. DKV Joventut had to battle hard to edge Ricoh Manresa 83-84 on a game-winning free throw by Ricky Rubio. In Madrid, Rafa Martinez had 27 of his 32 points in the second half to help Pamesa Valencia rally to beat MMT Estudiantes 77-81 on Sunday. Unicaja survived a tough test by beating iurbentia Bilbao Basket 84-73 in Malaga on Sunday with 20 points from Carlos Cabezas. In other games, Alta Gestion Fuenlabrada thrashed CAI Zaragoza 103-80, Cajasol edged Bruesa GBC 63-70 while CB Murcia upset ViveMenorca 84-94 behind 30 points on 8-for-8 triples from Taquan Dean.

Tau Ceramica survived an overtime thriller by edging CB Granada 86-87 on the road on Sunday. Mickeal became the game hero with the game-winning fallaway jumper right at the buzzer. Rakocevic paced the winners with 30 points while Mickeal added 26 and 11 rebounds for Tau. Curtis Borchardt led Granada with 30 points and 13 rebounds. He had 19 in the opening 13 minutes to make Granada get a 42-30 margin late in the first half. Mickeal and Rakocevic fueled the guests' comeback for a 54-55 score after 30 minutes. Free throws by Rakocevic helped Tau to take the game to overtime, 73-73. Granada led 84-83 after 44 minutes but Mickeal dunked it off a steal and then matched Vlado Scepanovic's basket with the game-winning jumper right at the buzzer. Regal FC Barcelona had less problems to down Kalise Gran Canaria 81-67 at home on Saturday. Barcelona improved to 16-4 while Gran Canaria dropped to 12-7. Navarro led the winners with 21 points. Fran Vazquez added 17 while Ersan Ilyasova had 15 for Barcelona. Josh Augustine had 16 points for Gran Canaria while Sitapha Savane added 11 for the guests, that led 43-44 at halftime. A 13-0 run that Vazquez capped with a dunk broke the game open, 56-44, right after the break, as Barcelona managed to keep a double-digit lead throughout the fourth period to add a valuable home win.

Pamesa Valencia moved up to 11-9 by rallying to edge MMT Estudiantes 77-81 on the road on Sunday. Martinez led the winners with 32 points on 6-for-10 triples and 12-for-12 free throws. Albert Oliver added 15 for Pamesa, that trailed 49-40 midway through the third quarter. Martinez and Kosta Perovic fueled a 5-16 run that put the guests ahead, 54-56, after 30 minutes. Estudiantes got its last lead, 77-75, on free throws by Samo Udrih. Martinez nailed the go-ahead triple with 11 seconds to go and soon added free throws to seal the outcome. Unicaja survived a tough test by beating iurbentia Bilbao Basket 84-73 in Malaga on Sunday. Unicaja improved to 14-6 while Bilbao dropped to 9-11. Cabezas led the winners with 20 points. Robert Archibald added 13, Marcus Haislip had 12 while Berni Rodriguez got 11 for Unicaja. Luke Recker had 17 points for Bilbao while Salva Guardia added 15 for the guests, that led 40-43 early in the third quarter. Rodriguez and Cabezas fueled a 14-4 run that put Unicaja ahead for good, 54-47. Recker brought Bilbao within 63-61 but a 9-0 run that Archibald capped with a power basket sealed the outcome. DKV Joventut is now third at 15-5 by edging Ricoh Manresa 83-84 on the road on Sunday. Edu Hernandez-Sonseca led the winners with 15 points. Pau Ribas and Luka Bogdanovic each added 14 for Joventut, that trailed 81-79 with a minute to go. Hernandez-Sonseca followed a put-back dunk with free throws for a 81-83 edge. Serge Ibaka tied the game with a dunk, but then fouled Rubio with 2 seconds remaining. Rubio made his second attempt, allowing Joventut to escape with a road win.
