Defending champion EclipseJet MyGuide Amsterdam won its seventh straight Dutch League game, but saw its lead in the standings clipped when EiffelTowers Den Bosch won twice. Amsterdam had little stomping Landstede 63-97 on Saturday. The visitors led 14-30 after 10 minutes and then outscored Landstede by at least 5 in each of the three remaining periods to improve to 24-3. CC Harrison led the winners with 18 points in 17 minutes, Victor Thomas added 13, Petervan Paasen 12 and Robert Krabbendam 10. Robby Bostain recorded 15 points and 6 assists in defeat. Den Bosch turned around and bested Aris Friesland 91-85 on Sunday and then downed Upstairs Weert 82-108 on Tuesday. The wins upped EiffelTowers’ record to 19-10. Kees Akerboom Jr. drilled 27 points against Aris, while Devonne Giles led six Den Bosch scorers in double figures with 20 against Weert. In other games, Hanzevast Capitals defeated Blue Stream Seals 89-101 thanks to Torey Thomas’s 27 points, Frank Tolbert scored 24 to lead Matrixx Magixx over Zorg & Zekerheid 57-66 and the Rotterdam Challengers overcame Weert 65-77.
