Despite a shocking loss this weekend, EclipseJet MyGuide Amsterdam Basketball keeps leading the Dutch League standings with a 26-4 record. EiffelTowers Den Bosch is second at 20-10 while Hanzevast Capitals stays third with a 19-11 record. Upstairs Weert send a message that echoed all around the Dutch League by thrashing Amsterdam 87-69 at home on Saturday. Nick Stapleton paced the winners with 31 points on 7-for-12 three-pointers while Steve Ross posted a monster double-double of 30 points and 16 rebounds for Weert. C.C. Harrison had 17 points for Amsterdam, that trailed 50-30 at halftime and never recovered. Meanwhile, Hanzevast had a bittersweet week. On Thursday, Hanzevast thrashed Aris Friesland 103-85 at home with 24 points and 8 assists from Torey Thomas. The Capitals registered a 86-83 road loss against Rotterdam Challengers on Saturday. Rotterdam has previously overwhelmed Landstede Zwolle 81-57 on Thursday behind 21 points from Sullivan Sykes. In other games, West Brabant Giants edged Zorg & Zekerheid 76-73, Aris downed Blue Stream Seals 91-104 with 28 points from Matt Bauscher while Matrixx Magixx edged Zwolle 85-87 on Sunday.
