Ukrainian League Playoffs, Quarterfinals, Game 4: April 23-24, 2009

BC Kyiv and BC Khimik managed to win on the road and thus close their respective Ukrainian League quarterfinals series at 3-1. Kyiv defeated BC-93 Pulsar 60-65, led by 18 points and 5 assists from Manuchar Markoishvili. The guests from the Ukrainian capital opened the game with a monstrous 9-31 first quarter, but Pulsar managed to work itself back in the match - only to see Kyiv prevail in the end. Nikola Vasic scored 11 points for the winners, Denys Lukashov was good for a double-double of 10 points and 12 rebounds, and Viacheslav Kravtsov contributed with 7 points, 9 rebounds and 3 blocks. Andriy Artimovich and Viktor Gerasymchuk combined for 31 points for Pulsar. Khimik knocked off MBC Mykolaiv 78-93 as Kelly Wykeen led five scorers in double figures with 21 points for the winners. Olumuyiwa Famutimi netted 16 points and grabbed a game-high 9 rebounds to help the visitors win the glass battle at 22-38. Jarrius Jackson came through with an impressive 31 points in a losing effort for Mykolaiv. In the semifinals, Kyiv will match up against BC Donetsk, while Khimik will try to overthrow reigning Ukrainian champion Azovmash Mariupol.
