Belgacom Liege Basket keeps leading the Belgian League standings with a 11-5 record. Defending champion Spirou Basket Charleroi is second at 10-6 while three teams - Antwerp Giants, Base BC Oostende and Dexia Mons-Hainaut - tie for third place at 9-7. Liege did not find any trouble to defeat Optima Gent 72-55 on Saturday behind 24 points and 11 rebounds from Josh Duncan. Adrian Banks added 17 points for Liege, that led 44-19 at halftime and never looked back. Spirou Passe-Partout Leuven Bears 89-76 in Charleroi also on Saturday. Wes Wilkinson led the winners with 19 points and 11 rebounds. Justin Hamilton added 16 points, Jerry Johnson had 13, Len Matela got 11 while Andre Riddick contributed 10 for Spirou, that led 44-41 at halftime, boosted its margin to 69-60 after 30 minutes and used a 8-0 opening run in the fourth quarter to seal the outcome. Timothy Block became this week's hero by hitting the game-winning basket to make Antwerp edge Mons 79-78. Black also led Antwerp with 30 points. In other games, Generali Okapi Aalstar beat VOO Verviers-Pepinster 84-72.
