In the first Friday game, excitement was present until the very end. Overtime was needed but when the dust settled, Vichy managed to get rid of Le Mans by 93-97, thanks to Kareem Reid's cold blood from the free throw line. Le Mans started strong but Vichy recovered, and the game was close until the end of regulation, 77-77. In the extra session it wasn't until the last plays when two free throws missed by Marc Salyers allowed Vichy to secure the final win. Zach Moss led the winners with his 29 points, Jonte Flowers added 21, Reid had 16 and Jeremy Leloup posted 12. For Le Mans, Dee Spencer had 20 points, Antoine Diot added 19, Marc Salyers chipped in with 14 and Joao Paolo Batista nailed 10. Le Mans started strong with an 11-3 score, but Vichy soon regrouped and was back in the game through Zach Moss points. At the end of the first quarter, Le Mans would need a last basket by Guillaume Yango to stand ahead, 15-14. The second quarter started more balanced with constant lead changes. However, Vichy had the upper hand midway through the period when Kareem Reid had a three-point play to make it 21-29. Two straight threes by Maleye Ndoye and Marc Salyers put Le Mans back in the game soon and Dee Spencer appeared in the last plays to leave Le Mans ahead again at the halftime break, 35-33. Ndoye capped a 12-0 run for Le Mans to leave a 39-33 score in the second minute of the third period, but Josiah James put Vichy back in action by himself. Three free throws by Jonte Flowers gave Vichy a slim cushion and the score after 30 minutes was 52-56 only after an Antoine Diot three for Le Mans. The last quarter saw both teams hold on to everything they could, but neither managed to build a decisive margin. Le Mans entered the last minute dominating by 77-73 but a 0-4 run capped by Jeremy Leloup free throws, allowed Vichy to send the game into overtime. The extra session started with a new Vichy 2-6 thanks to free throws, while Leloup and Zach Moss boosted Vichy to a 83-90 with two minutes to go. However, the Le Mans stars woke up again in money time as Spencer first and Salyers later, blasted threes to make it a one-point game again, 91-92. However, Salyers would miss two decisive free throws in the last minute while, for Vichy, Kareem Reid did hit them for 91-96. Zach Wright slammed in the last effort for Le Mans, but Reid sealed the win once again from the charity line to take Vichy to the Semaine des As semifinals.
In the second game of the night Entente Orleanaise defeated Cholet Basket by 64-71. Cholet started better, but Orleans came back strong and once it took solid leads, never looked back. Ryvon Covile led the winners with 17 points, Cedric Banks added 15 and Adrien Moerman chipped in with 12. For Cholet, Antywane Robinson led the way with 17 points and Randal Falker added 11. There was total balance during the first minutes with lead changes and neither team forging even slim margins. It was in minute 6 when Cholet managed to build a 10-0 run capped by Mickael Gelabale for 17-6. The run went un up to 20-6 until Justin Doellman broke it for Entente Orleanaise. However, Kevin Seraphin had some time left to score again and make it 22-11 after 10 minutes. Cedric Banks decided to appear for Orleans at the start of the second quarter and Ryvon Covile soon joined him to make it 26-20. Seraphin stopped the bleeding for Cholet, but Banks and Laurent Sciarra pulled Orleans within 28-26. Adrien Moerman's three finally put Orleans ahead and things stayed balanced until the halftime break, 34-34. Two minutes went by without points in the third period but then Orleans appeared with a 0-6 run. Banks and Aldo Curti kept Orleans going but Randal Falker came to Cholet's rescue as the score was 44-47 in minute 28. A last burst by Orleans however, allowed the team to command by 48-55 after 30 minutes. Covile scored for the double-digit lead, 48-58, but John Linehan hit a new three for Cholet to get close again, 56-60. But then Orleans woke up again and managed the lead until the final plays as Moerman hit a free throw for the final 64-71.
